About Us

Hunter McCorquodale Inc. does not deal directly with consumers, but rather through licensed intermediaries – financial and insurance advisors, benefit consultants, and selected national account distributors across Canada.

Intermediaries are contracted directly with Hunter McCorquodale Inc. and not with our insurer partners. Our contract provides advisors with access to our full portfolio.

We initiate the contracting process upon receipt of the first application from an advisor. Prior to that, we are pleased to provide quotes and advice at any time. If we can’t help you with a situation we will often be able to refer you to another specialty market that may be able to help.

We pay all advisor commissions. We provide a single statement that shows commissions from all our product lines.

We underwrite (together with our approved special risk underwriting consultants) and issue all policies in our office on behalf of our insurance providers. Because we control all new business processing, issue and commission functions, advisors are usually very pleasantly surprised at the level of service they receive from us, compared to what they are accustomed to.

This website is designed as a resource for advisors, whether contracted or not. It is designed to enable an advisor to do almost everything on-line that you could do by contacting us directly. Quotations can be requested for most products, and all applications and other forms can be downloaded.
